Experience the healing power of slowing down in nature with a slow-paced guided experience. Also known as forest bathing or Shinrin-Yoku, nature and forest therapy is proven to boost the immune system and lower blood pressure, heartrate, and stress levels. Expect slow-paced walking, some standing, and some sitting.
Schedule of Events
- 9:30am - Meet at the Westerville Senior Center (350 N. Cleveland Avenue). Bus transportation to Sharon Woods will be provided.
- 10-11:30am – Take a guided therapy walk, followed by a tea ceremony and light snacks.
- 11:30am - Transportation to a lunch venue will be provided before returning to the Westerville Community Center.
To register, contact the Westerville Senior Center at 614-901-6560. Membership to Westerville Senior Center required. $10 fee to attend. In the case of inclement weather, this event will be cancelled. Registrants will be notified.
