Listen to Westerville resident and photographer Gary Gardiner tell the story of how his passion project - a photo a day - has become an unexpected snapshot in time and a historic record of city life in Westerville, Ohio. Gary Gardiner will also share about his photography career leading up to his project My Final Photo in Westerville.
The Westerville History Museum exhibit "Accidental History" will be open in tandem with this presentation. Viewers can see the exhibit starting at 6:30pm and after the presentation until 9pm.
This program is presented by the Westerville Historical Society and will include a short business meeting prior to the program
About the Presenter
Gary Gardiner was a photojournalist for the majority of his career. After working in Florida, Mississippi, and Atlanta, he moved to Columbus in 1982 where he worked as an editor and photographer with
The AP until his retirement in 2004. His My Final Photo project began on November 15, 2004, and he has made a photo a day ever since. His daily photograph can be viewed on his website: myfinalphoto.com
