Description

Explore the history of African American quilt making - from slavery to contemporary times - with Renee Wormack-Keels, co-founder of Kuumba Quilters of Central Ohio. Delve into different fibers and textiles used by African American women and the different stages of the quilting movement - from traditional quilts to art quilts to improvisational quilts.

Then stay for an opportunity to create a quilt block using traditional African fabrics!
