Nature and Forest Therapy: Summer Walk

10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Blendon Woods Metro Park

Description

Experience the season with a nature therapy walk at Blendon Woods Metro Park. Weather and water-level permitting, explore the creek and cool off your feet!

This slow-paced guided experience will allow you to experience the healing power of slowing down in nature. Also known as forest bathing or Shinrin-Yoku, nature and forest therapy is proven to boost the immune system and lower blood pressure, heart rate, and stress levels. Expect slow-paced walking, some standing, and some sitting. Includes a tea ceremony and light snacks.

Presented by Marie, Outreach Program Librarian at the Westerville Public Library and certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide & Mindy, Adult Services Librarian.
